What to Expect

Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’ve never done it before or had mixed experiences in the past. My aim is to make our first meeting feel relaxed, respectful, and safe.

There are no long forms to fill in before we begin. Instead, we spend time getting to know each other. I’ll go over a simple contract with you, it’s not full of clinical jargon, but just a gentle agreement about what you can expect from me as your therapist, and what I’ll ask of you in return. Things like confidentiality, boundaries, and what to do if you need to cancel a session.

We’ll talk about your hopes for therapy, even if they feel a little blurry right now. We can explore any past experiences of therapy you’ve had, what worked, what didn’t, and what you’re looking for this time around.

You don’t need to come with everything figured out. You don’t even need to know what to say. That’s my job, to gently support you in uncovering what’s really going on beneath the surface.

I’m not here to judge or analyse you, I’m here to walk alongside you, helping you reconnect with your worth, your voice, and your sense of self.
